Partnerships Manager (Bilaterals)

I joined BRAC in July 2023 as the Partnerships Officer for Africa and have since transitioned into the role of Partnerships Manager, Bilaterals. In my current position, I focus primarily on bilateral fundraising and donor engagement, with a particular emphasis on managing relationships with the UK government (including the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office) and key European bilateral partners. My responsibilities include developing and implementing fundraising strategies, providing policy analysis and advisory support, and offering technical expertise to strengthen BRAC’s positioning and engagement within the bilateral donor landscape. I also continue to collaborate closely with in-country teams to support proposal development, project coordination, and donor compliance across BRAC’s Africa portfolio.

Prior to BRAC, I served as the Programmes and Partnerships Manager at ARK Group International, a UK-based organisation focused on supporting investment and fundraising efforts for small and growing businesses advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) across Africa. At ARK, I worked across a range of sectors, including waste management, off-grid energy, agriculture, circular economies, and conservation, helping domestic firms access grant funding and overcome systemic barriers within the donor landscape.

My professional interests include poverty alleviation, global value chains, social enterprise development, climate resilience and adaptation, and migration. I hold an MSc in Development Studies from SOAS, University of London, and have extensive experience in policy analysis and research.

It is an absolute pleasure to work at BRAC and be part of such a dedicated and inspiring team. BRAC’s impressive track record in tackling poverty and inequality through innovative, scalable, and sustainable approaches - together with its mission to empower marginalised communities, particularly women and girls - aligns closely with my own philosophy of development.
