Serap Altinisik

Serap Altinisik is a passionate advocate for gender equality, social justice and inclusive leadership, bringing over two decades of experience in international development and organisational transformation. Until recently, she served as Chief Executive Officer of Oxfam Germany, where she led the organisation through strategic and operational growth while championing intersectional feminist approaches.
Before Oxfam, Serap headed the Plan International Europe Office in Brussels, leading the organisation’s engagement with European institutions and building strategic partnerships to advance children’s rights and gender equality across the world. Earlier, as Programme Director at the European Women’s Lobby, she drove programme development and policy advocacy while supporting feminist movement-building across Europe. She also contributed to advancing human rights and gender equality through her roles at the European Network Against Racism and TERRE DES FEMMES e.V. in Berlin.
Serap’s commitment to leadership and organisational development began even before her international policy career, during her time at the Führungsakademie (Leadership Academy) where she supported leadership and organsiational development programmes for both private sector organisations and public service institutions. Today, Serap brings her expertise to several international boards and advisory bodies helping organisations strengthen governance, promote equality and drive systemic change. She holds degrees in Political Science and European Studies, combining academic insight with practical experience to create meaningful impact. Serap is now Germany based.
