BRAC has announced an initial support package of BDT 5 million (€35,300 or £31,100) for the families affected by the devastating fire in Korail slum, Dhaka, Bangladesh. We stand beside the community, committed to supporting them through every step of rebuilding and recovery.
The fire started in Korail, one of Dhaka’s largest slums, shortly after sunset on Tuesday evening, leaving thousands of people homeless. Korail is home to approximately 80,000 people.
