This new Director of Philanthropy role will lead and guide the organisation to build philanthropic fundraising in Europe. This will involve developing a philanthropic fundraising strategy, working to build a pipeline of high-value donors, and securing five-, six-, and seven-figure gifts. This role will be responsible for delivering annual income targets rising to unrestricted or lightly restricted donations totalling £1 million per annum within four years. It will also support the Director, BRAC International Fund (based in the USA) in the development of an ambitious global catalytic unrestricted fund targeting $1 billion in commitments over the next five years.
To be successful in this role, this person will have proven significant experience in major gift fundraising and a proven track record of securing high-value, multi-year philanthropic commitments from individuals, family offices and/or foundations. This person will have knowledge and experience of UK and ideally European philanthropic markets. They will also need to have sensitivity to being a Global South-led organisation and an entrepreneurial mindset to achieve income growth. They will have previously developed and launched dynamic fundraising strategies that achieved income generation growth.
